Torn between her inner self and the shell she wears on the outside, Sakura is a dynamic character that has grown and changed through the Naruto saga. A fierce warrior and a gentle healer, her lot in life is one of a constant duality. Forever holding a twofold role, she is both the object of Naruto’s affection and the source of great disdain from Sasuke. However, no matter what she might be to others, Sakura is a strong individual who is able to go her own way without ever looking back.
Perhaps you feel that you have the inner strength to tackle the twin roles of both soldier and healer. If so, perhaps these steps might lead you to be more like the kunoichi of the Leaf Village. However, be warned, for this is no easy path to tread.
1) Cosplaying as Sakura Haruno might be quite challenging, but a pink wig might do very well to tie the look together.
2) When wearing a Leaf village headband, have it placed around the top of your head to emulate Sakura’s unique method of using her’s.
3) Like most characters from the Naruto series, Sakura is dressed differently in the Shippuden series. However, in either case, a red dress is an important part of her outfit.
4) Sakura’s leg wear tends to change throughout Naruto. Therefore, you have a large number of options available to you. Initially she wore long leggings, which shortened as time went on. In Shippuden, Sakura wears shin guards and short leggings. On her right side there is somewhat of a wrap, though it is only around her upper leg.
5) Likewise, these shin guards might do well to mesh with black sandals. Sakura’s shoes and guards are in sharp contrast to the otherwise bright design of her character.
6) A useful accessory might be some form of throwing star. Several harmless replicas are made, and at various times some have actually been marketed as Naruto themed props!
7) In her later appearances, Sakura wears black gloves and pale elbow pads. These accessories shouldn’t be too hard to reproduce.
8) Maintain some simplicity in your looks. Though most Naruto characters have an over the top appearance, Sakura maintains a bit of a down to Earth sensibility that makes her character one of the most human in the entire story.
9) Remain in control of your own abilities; Sakura’s healing techniques rely on complicated Chakra control.

10) Strive for practicality. Even though appearance and grooming seems to be important to Sakura, she makes sure to cut her hair before the Chunin exam to be more mobile.
11) Always be sure to protect your friends. To Sakura, helping Sasuke to return home has become a bit of a personal mission. She doesn’t want anything to stand in the way of that goal.
12) Listen to your subconscious; Haruno is well known for her ‘Inner Sakura’ voice.
13) Learn how to care for others; Sakura eventually begins to focus on medical ninjutsu when she grows as a kunoichi.
14) Take your education seriously; between the first series and Shippuden, Sakura spends two and a half years in training.
15) To get better acquainted with Sakura Haruno’s character make sure to read the Naruto manga, watch the anime and surround yourself with as many character goods as possible like the Sakura Haruno keychain.
